Teddy Bea's Magical Fairyland (Altered Wooden Cheese Box)

Hello my dear friends,

It has been quite a while since my last post. Sorry, I've been crazy busy. I had my family over visiting from Colombia for a couple of weeks, I went on a little trip with my son and I also attended the Copic  workshop with Jenn Balcer to become a Copic Certified Designer, Woo Hoo!!!

I'm finally back with another alteration project to share: Teddy Bea's Magical Fairyland. I'm very grateful for all the kind comments I received with my Tilda's Enchanted Garden Altered Jar so I decided to create another "magical scene" but this time using a wooden cheese box I have recycled since last Christmas.

I used these cute digital stamps from Teddy Bo & Co. to create Teddy Bea's Magical Fairyland: "Your Wish Will Come True" (Teddy Bea 116), "Baby You're a Star" (Teddy Bea 033) and "Bunny Bo Bea" (Teddy Bea 005). The inside of the box was decorated using The Birthday Postage Stamp Sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

All the gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used 35 mm trellis roses, 25 mm daffodil stem flowers and 15mm and 10 mm open roses. All in lilac and pale yellow tones.

I colored my images with Copics. For Teddy Bea's fur I used: E37, E33, E31 and E50. The purples are: V17, V15, V12 and V000. The yellows: Y17, Y15, Y11 and Y000 and the pinks: R89, R85, R83 and R81.

Teddy Bea's fairy winds were decorated with Crystal Stickels and the star of the magic wand and ribbon with Yellow Stickles for some sparkle!

I'm playing the following challenges:

The Teddy Bo Challenge: Things With Wings.
Wild Orchid Challenge: Make Sparkle With Stars.
Paper Sundaes Challenge: Anything Goes.

Guest Designer at TOMIC #15

Hello everyone!!! I'm very proud to be the Guest DT at The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge (TOMIC) this week. I made Top 5 and was invited to join the very talented DT members to create a project inspired by "CHOCOLATE". I'm so lucky! What theme could be better than this, right? Well, the very first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Chocolate is a big slice of Chocolate Cake.... MMMmmm! my favorite. I hope you enjoy the chocolate cake I'm sharing with you today along with my Recipe for Love card holder!

For this project, I used Kitchen Tilda from the "A Little Yummy For Your Tummy Collection".  She looks so ready to mix that Chocolate Cake and create the perfect Recipe for Love! Doesn't she?
Since it is kind of hard to read the recipe from the card, here it goes:

Recipe for Love

2 Hearts Full of Love
2 Cups of Chocolate Kisses
2 Tablespoons of Joy
2 Cups of Friendship
2 Big Hearts Full of Forgiveness
1 Lifetime of Togetherness

Stir daily with Happiness, Humor and Patience.
Serve with Warmth and Compassion, Respect and Loyalty.

I used the beautiful paper from My Mind's Eye, Lost and Found Collection. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Recollections.

As usual, I colored Tilda with my Copic markers. Skin: E11, E00, E000 and R20. Pinks: R22, R20 and R00. Browns: E37, E35, E33, E31 and E50.

I cut the Chocolate Cake Box with my Cricut Expressions. Then, I made the "chocolate cover" by dry embossing and distressing a brown piece of cardstock.  For the edges I used the Magnolia Dream Tag Doohickey. To decorate it, I added some pearls and flowers, a tag and a tiny cocoa  jar.

You Are Fabulous!

Happy weekend friends! Today I'm driving down to Miami to see my mom, my brother and my grandma that are visiting from Colombia. I can't wait to be there! But before I leave, I'll like to share a card I made for my mom. She is crazy about shopping!

Tilda is going shopping to Paris and she looks fabulous! So this time, I made not only a card but also a very special "box" for it: a Coach purse, how cool is that!

I printed the Coach pattern on kraft cardstock and assembled the box. To decorate it, I cut the rest of the pieces from pink and tan cardstock. I also applied glossy paint to all pink pieces, to give them a realistic look!

For the card, I colored the Tilda Goes Shopping stamp with my Copics. Skin: E11, E00, E000 and R20. Hair: E37, E33, E31 and E50. Blouse: R22, R20 and R00. Pants and Shoes: E35, E33, E53 and E50. Bags: BG13, BG11 and BG000. I decorated her jewelery with liquid pearls and....... Did you noticed something else? Yes, her purse is a Coach too!

The paper is from My Mind's Eye, the little roses and hat pin are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the tag with the sentiment is from Magnolia (Dream Tag). The big tag I used as a background, I believe is from 7 Gypsies, but I'm not sure. Sorry :(

This week I'm joining the following challenges:
Magnolia-licious: Photo Inspiration Challenge
Just Magnolia and Hanglar & Stanglar: Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes: Magnolias

Eddited To Add: My new friend Kim asked me for the pattern I used to make my coach purse box. I actually created it with CorelDRAW X3. If you want to make your own "coach purse", feel free to grab this image... and have fun! To share it, please link back to my blog :), Thanks!
